Dobbin lives right where you work in your Slack workspace. It’s in every channel the installing admin selected during installation, and it immediately starts learning ambiently. Any Slack user in your workspace can add Dobbin to any other channel, public or private, by mentioning it and clicking "Add." Once added, tag it in any message for a response. Any Slack user can also send it a Direct Message by messaging the app. There is also a web dashboard (Dobbin HQ) where the installing admin can manage integrations and update the Foundation, but the day-to-day team will just talk to Dobbin in Slack.

Public and group channels will receive a message introducing Dobbin upon install, and each individual user in those common channels will receive a welcome direct message from the Dobbin app containing personalized work suggestions. The account admin (the user who installed Dobbin) will receive a direct message from the Dobbin app with instructions about how to use Dobbin in Slack, how to access HQ and what can be found in it, and how to contact support. The admin will also receive an email from us with instructions and the option to book a 1:1 call. After the introductions, Dobbin remains quiet and only speaks when spoken to. The only further automated messages in Slack are weekly recaps about the work done by channel.

Everyone on your workspace is available for the trial, and anyone can use Dobbin by messaging it in Slack, either in team channels or direct messages with the Dobbin app. Your team does not need to have deeper involvement with HQ, maintaining the Knowledge Base or adding integrations. Once the Dobbin Operator has connected Claude or ChatGPT to Dobbin within HQ, any existing members of your company’s Claude or ChatGPT Pro accounts can easily add Dobbin to their Claude or ChatGPT professional workspaces.

No one needs to be technical or read a manual to use Dobbin– if you can send a Slack message, you can use Dobbin by talking to it like a coworker, asking questions, or requesting edits. If you prefer a guided walkthrough, you can book a 1:1 call with our Customer Success team at any point. We can walk you through how our best customers use Dobbin and help you build a specific workflow for your team. You can also use the short tutorial videos shared in your Slack Connect channel, explore the Dobbin HQ dashboard at your own pace, or ask the bot questions directly in Slack to get links to tutorial videos or other help.

We invite the admin of all free trials to a dedicated Slack Connect channel. This secure channel gives you, and any members of your team that you choose to invite, direct access to a member of Dobbin’s customer success team. Expect occasional updates, system/outage alerts, and short 1-minute tutorial videos. We’re available to you, should you need it for onboarding, training, workshopping best practices, or reporting a technical issue.

All Dobbin features from all pricing levels are available during the trial. If a feature or functionality is not available, reach out to customer success with a product request.

The trial is available for 14 days, but if you love Dobbin, reach out to one of our humans for an extension. If you choose to sign up for Dobbin after the free trial, a member of our Customer Success will reach out with a sign up link. If you end your engagement with Dobbin after the free trial, your company’s account will be automatically turned off at the conclusion of the trial, and the data will be deleted 14 days after.
